Stardate-120111-6 A New Creation

My super Awesome Omnipotent/Omnipresent father has been speaking to me lately the verse 2nd Corinthians 5:17. For those of you at home that's.. v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo.......what does that mean to you?

What do you believe happens when you get saved? 

You could just say that when you get saved this man named Jesus(BIG DEAL,btw) writes your name in a book of life or something annnnnnnnnnd now you get to go to heaven or whatever......and you can't curse now or something like that....

Well the truth is that GOD so LOVED YOU that he sent his Son to die for YOU.<----DEEP
 The Holy bible says...
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.-1 peter 2:24

 He was crucified on the cross to take on YOUR sins , but  he didn't stay dead HE ROSE AGAIN!! (woopwoop!!!)conquering sin and death, allowing us to no longer be bound to our old sinful nature.but then he did a little sumfin extra.he ascended into heaven so that the HOLY SPIRIT(also a big deal) may be sent.

So what am I saying you might ask...

What I'm saying is that not only did he give us the ability to be victorious over sin, but He gave us his spirit to have the POWER to KICK IT IN THE MOUTH.....We are not the same after being saved WE ARE NEW CREATIONS! We have been re-born, Our old selves are now dead(x_x) and now we are alive in Christ!

old sinful habits...Dead

Something that I found interesting is that my church THE MISSION DELRAY is having a baptism this Sunday...perhaps the lord is trying to communicate something here(hmmmm rubs chin)... you see, Baptism and getting saved go hand in hand. Getting saved kills the old self, and Baptism BURIES the old self. There is about to be a bunch of people this Sunday that are literally going to step into NEW LIFE, and when that happens they will be no longer bound to that old man,Completely free from what once was.

Have you ever done something that you know was wrong,but you blamed it on the fact that thats just who you are...That's a lie from the Devil, The Devil has as much power as you give him....nothing more...You were set free...YOU ARE A NEW CREATION!

Stardate 915011-2: LOVE

Love....So simple of a concept yet so incredibly profound

The bible says that God is love...yet we somehow convince ourselves that God would/could be any other way.

I know god loves me so I guess that I have this sickness because he's testing my faith....WRONG.

It says in John 10:10  that the devil comes only to steal and kill and destroy; Jesus came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Now you tell me which mold that example falls in, abundant life or to steal kill and destroy.
God can never do anything outside of Love, now don't get me wrong God WILL do things that maybe you won't see as love, for example it says in the bible that the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.

So you might be saying....Well IF God is REALLLLY love, he wouldn't be punishing me.....Let me ask you a question. When you see a crazy out of control kid/teenager how often do you say to yourself....WOW where is this kid's parents and why are they letting this kid act this way? That's what we would look like if he didn't  discipline us.


When Jesus came to Earth he only asked two things of us.

  Luke 10:27

And he answered, “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND; AND YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”

ps You might be wondering why it doesn't say spirit...well because when you get reborn your spirit is resurrected. Your spirit is the 100% perfect you... We were created at the very beginning to honor/worship/ have a relationship with God.. so when your spirit resurrects its flowing in perfect love for the father...just a side note

Stardate 913011-1: Steps of Faith

Whats up everyone!!!?

So recently I've really been challenged to be stepping out in faith a lot more. And by stepping out a lot more I mean to actually do it... I struggle with that but I'm getting better at it, I understand how simple it is to just walk up to someone and talk to them  but I end up getting in my own way ,I over analyze the situation running it over and over in my head about how I can fail(not god btw) and then nothing happens because I scare myself out of sharing an experience with god, I also know that to over come this.....fear, I need to not rely on my own strengths I need to place my trust on the holy spirit. the other day I was listening to a guy named Todd White, if you don't know who that is googlize him, he'll wreck your way of thinking and get you fired up to proclaim the kingdom! but he was talking about the holy spirit.Jesus said that it was better if he went because he would send the holy spirit, our comforter. and it hit me, If we rely on our own strengths and never go outside our comfort zone we are saying that the holy spirit isn't really needed.He came SPECIFICALLY  for these exact reasons so that we can lean on him in times of stress and fear. I also heard it pretty plainly like this The holy spirit is a big boy, he can handle himself you don't need to "help" him I'm pretty sure he's got anything you can go through covered...Trust him...I know that if I need to break this thing in my life I need to take radical steps, so anytime someone looks my way I'll try and start up a conversation and work it into asking if they have any pain in there body or just that Jesus loves them. I am in the process and I'm lovin it, cause I may not be where I wanna be but I sure am further then I used to...cherish the process, it should be the best past!

what I've learned so far...

• Just be you
• love people without having an agenda
• Find Rest in him 
• Walk from a place of Victory

Haha the lord is good!!!
He gave me this verse: Ephesians 3:20 which says


 ²⁰Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think,according to the power that works within us, ²¹ to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.


and one more parting verse 

Romans 8:15-17

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you  have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” ¹⁶ The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, ¹⁷ and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

So I Challenge You....Love on a stranger today, take those 30 seconds or whateva out of your day to bring the kingdom into someone's life and totally throw it for a loop ^.^

and on a side note I prayed for a nicer chair at work...a couple days later a girl get fired...I inherit her chair...which is exactly what i wanted...not so sure how I should feel about that.....
